3 Tips To Have a More Secure Password

Your password is like a key to you. It locks all your resources, your identity and even your secrets. But what if someone get to your passwords. What could possibly be the dangers? Well, the dangers are endless.
So, it's important to do everything on your part to keep you and your resources save. This is the list of some of the basic precautions to take if you want your passwords to be more secure.

Keep it simple

The principle of keeping it simple can simplify many areas of life. This can include your job, household life, relations, etc, but keeping it simple with your password can really complicate things.
A simple password can make life easy for you. But remember, that it would make life simpler for a hacker as well. Study has shown that too many users have passwords with fewer than six characters. In most cases, they only use lower-case letters, or a name, dictionary word or consecutive numbers.
The first thing hacker could do is to just sit back and guess your password. Add some thrill to his work, by using a password with a combination of special characters, lower and capital letters and digits.

Use the same password over and over again

This could probably be the most helpful thing you could do for a hacker. He could unlock all your locks, with just a single key. The problem occurs mostly online, where you put the same password for all your online accounts.
The danger lies in the fact that some sites are easier to hack than others. This could prove to be a very weak link in your defense. And these are the types of links that every hacker looks for.

Save your passwords on your computer

So, you read my previous tips and decided to set your passwords with something tough. Each account with a different password. But now you're wondering how you yourself would remember them all? To make life easier, you saved them on your PC to use it when required. You think you're done with your job, but let me tell you that the last step has actually spoiled all your efforts.
To be frank, your computer is the worst place to keep your data. In most cases, you're an ordinary computer user with absolutely no computer skills. The only protection your computer has is an anti virus or anti spyware. Now think about those giant sites. They have expert programmers and computer geeks using highly sophisticated systems. If hackers can intrude into them, what's your PC for them... nothing but a piece of cake.
Solution, note your passwords offline. But keep them away from offline intruders.

So, now you know the basics to be save. Now, do yourself a favor by actually applying them and do me a favor by commenting below to let me know of anything you felt, good or bad.
