8 Tips to increase your cell phone battery life

How to increase your phone battery life? We all have such questions as we never want our phones to die. Cell phones have become such vital part of our lives that we can't even imagine life without them.

Let's look at some of the most effective ways to improve your phone's battery life.

1. Give your phone some rest
Probably the best way to increase your cell phone battery life is to switch off your phone. The idea can sound miserable to many people. Switching off your phone is like cutting yourself off from the rest of the world.
If you're travelling or at a place where it's not possible to recharge your phone battery then preserving your battery becomes ever more vital. Also switch off your phone while sleeping and when you're not expecting a call.

2. Turn off vibration alerts
The vibrate function uses a good deal of your battery power. So, if you want to prolong your phone's battery then turn off all vibration alerts and keep your phone on ringtone. Also keep the ringtone at the lowest volume.

3. Fully Recharge and Full Discharge
This method will not only increase your battery's performance but also its life. The trick is to charge your phone only when it is fully discharged. I usually wait till my phone notifies that the battery is low. Then, when you put your phone on charging, let it fully recharge. Also never use your phone while it is recharging as it hurts the batteries overall life.

4. Turn off Bluetooth
We all love Bluetooth. Today's smartphones are unimaginable without smartphones. But no matter how much we admire it, Bluetooth seriously drains your battery. Turning off your Bluetooth when you're not in your car and when you're not expecting a call can make increase your battery hours.

5. Turn off Wifi
Like Bluetooth, Wifi also goes tough on your phone battery. So, its always better to switch your Wifi scanning when you don't need one.

6. Close unused applications
Unused applications not only uses up your phone's CPU but also the battery. They can make your phone slower, affecting your overall user experience. So, it's better to close all applications after you use them rather than leaving them on standby.

7. Limit your call time
Another good strategy to make full use of your phone battery is by making your calls short. This can bring you double benefits by not only prolonging your battery life but also cutting your phone bills.

8. Keep it simple
Fancy animations use up a lot of your battery power. Animated wallpapers and screen savers can cause your phone to die YOUNG. Use static wallpapers and screen savers to save your battery power.
